Anthony R. Portesy is an associate in the Labor and Employment Law and commercial litigation practice groups represents businesses of all sizes from small businesses to large corporations in federal and state court. He represents small businesses in litigation and negotiation in all areas of employment law, including discrimination, retaliation, professional contracts, wage and hour matters, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and other types of employment-based litigation and disputes including collective and class action litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Anthony represented individuals in Labor and Employment Law matters in federal and state court and also drafted employee handbooks for small businesses to insulate them from potential litigation.
Anthony received a bachelor of science in Business Management and Political Science from Stony Brook University in 2008 and his law degree from New York Law School in 2013. He is admitted to the New York and New Jersey state bars as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern District of New York and Eastern District of New York. In 2017 and 2018, Anthony was selected by his peers as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine in the field of Labor and Employment Law.
Anthony is admitted to practice in the States of New York and New Jersey as well as the Federal District Courts of the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
